My beautiful header photo!

Update: I change my blog design often, so this is no longer my header photo, but I still LOVE it and plan to have this photo printed on canvas to hang on a wall somewhere in my house!Kathryn helped me create a beautiful header photo for my blog. It includes some of my favorite things, and represents me and this blog perfectly! It captures the cottage style I love so well and it just plain looks pretty! Everything in the photo has meaning: the lovely little blue rose teacup is a recent vintage find from an antique shop we like; the teapot is bright and cheery, and makes a great pot of tea big enough to share with a friend; roses are my favorite flower, and these are all homegrown by me; the glass vase they are in belonged to my late aunt and represents to me all of my family gone on before me; the silver creamer is from an antique set that was a birthday gift from my loving husband a few years ago; the silver spoon and lace tablecloth were given to me by my mom, who knows the kinds of things I love because she is one of my best friends; the Bible, open to Proverbs 31, represents the importance of God in my life and my desire to become more like the Proverbs 31 woman; the table it all sits upon was my great-grandmother's writing desk, who, like me, also loved to write; and it's all in my backyard, where a whole lot of fun and learning happens! What you don't see here is that just beyond the view of the camera, Kathryn is swinging on the playset, and Lacy the dog is watching and whining from inside the house because I won't let her outside for fear that her exuberance will knock down the whole set up! Kathryn was in charge of placing the miniature yellow rose just the way she thought it looked best, and helped me tote everything outside. Thanks for taking time to read about it!
